Art Pasut showed Channel 3 Morning News a video he took of what he believes to be a Naga, a sacred serpent in Buddhist legend that acts as bridge between heaven and earth, while he was making merit with his girlfriend at Pakrien Temple in Nakhon Si Thammarat province.
Art managed to capture the large creature on his phone’s video, and he revealed that it was about one meter wide and had beautiful silver scales.
Pakrian Temple is home to a Naga Buddha Statue, and the abbot recently dreamed about a Naga living in the river by the temple.
People believe the creature was the Naga in the abbot’s dream, and they are praying for its return, Sanook reported.
