Tourism Authority of Thailand to host country’s first Expat Fair

The Tourism Authority of Thailand (TAT) has just announced their plans for holding Thailand’s very first Expat Fair.

We’re surprised that there hasn’t been one sooner seeing as how many expats (and sexpats) we have living in the country. Thailand is already on the list of top 10 countries for expats to live, work or retire.

Apparently, according to MCOT, Thailand has around 1.5 million expats living in Thailand and, much like McDonald’s, the TAT is “lovin’ it” and wants to attract more farangs to the land of smiles.

The fair will be held on Oct. 1-2 and they are hoping that this will be the the ticket to getting more expats and high-end tourists to visit the kingdom. It is also a chance for expats to show their love and appreciation for Thailand.

Two of Thailand’s most loved expats, lukthung singer Jonas Anderson and language teacher, columnist, and social commentator Andrew Biggs, were on hand yesterday at a press conference to help promote the fair and Thailand.

The fair, to be held at Fragrant Park in Sukhumvit Road Soi 36, will also feature Thai cultural shows and authentic food for everyone to enjoy.
