Baking and gaming aren’t the only things to do at home while you’re self-isolating or being quarantined. It’s the perfect time to discover new music, as a fun distraction or a way to soothe the nerves. Plus, staying home isn’t stopping Thai artists from producing new music and making videos through Facetime. (Have you seen the COVID-19 version of the viral hit Wip Wup”?). Other musicians have come together to encourage the Thai population to stay strong in this time of need.

OneSiam collaborated with a group of four artists headed by Poh Yokee Playboy to co-create “Love Has No Distance.” ‘Pod’ Thanachai Ujjin, the vocalist from Moderndog, ‘Boy’ Trai Bhumiratna, and Nop Ponchamni round out the group, with all four featuring in the song and the music video.

The song inspires us to love and support one another even though we are physically apart, “because love has no distance.” It assures us that we will come out of this pandemic stronger and more connected than ever, even though we have to spend time apart. “We will fight together until all has passed.”  We can always feel close together when we have love in our hearts — and that’s a message we can get behind.

The message was inspired by the will of the Thai people to band together in difficult times. It embodies what we are able to achieve together and it highlights Thai values of generosity, empathy, and social responsibility.

So add it to your quarantine playlist and remember, we’re all in this together and love transcends any distance.

The sponsors of the song, Siam Discovery, Siam Center, and Siam Paragon, known collectively as OneSiam, along with ICONSIAM, are encouraging their followers to support those who need it most; the doctors and nurses that work to fight against this crisis by making donations to the Thai Red Cross Society now until June 30.
