Poets and songwriters of Bangkok, you’re in for a treat tomorrow night. Visit Ma-Rum-Ba, a tiny bar in an alley in Phra Khanong just beside W District, for the 12th Songwriters’ Night.
Songwriters’ Night showcases local and regional hidden musical gems. The organizers are ready to bring you yet another night of musical talent and cocktails.
The event will feature Gede Robi, the lead guitarist and singer of Navicula, Indonesia’s top grunge band. He’ll be backed up by Joe Cummings and Edward Andrews. Robi is on a mini-tour to promote his latest album, “Islands of the Dogs.” He will also perform songs from the grunge era, from bands like The Meat Puppets, Stone Temple Pilots, and Pearl Jam.
Gede will be joined by more singers and songwriters, such as Karin Kraus, Marcus Juul-Hansen, and John Will Sail.
It’s good vibes all around, and admission is free.
