The glitter-, vodka- and vomit-stained sands of Koh Phangan’s world-infamous beach party will get a break this month.
The monthly Full Moon Party that draws thousands of revelers from around the world to Rin Beach was canceled from March onwards due to current coronavirus outbreak, acting island chief Wattana Buranatanang announced Thursday.
It was next slated for Sunday.
The party runs every full moon night and is arguably one of the wildest and best-known beach parties in Asia. Wattana said it would return after the outbreak is no longer a public health threat.
