Once I was seven years old… The catchy song that made the radio rounds will be played live by the band right here in Bangkok next month.

After its frontman visited Bangkok earlier this year to make a guest appearance on Thai television, Danish soul-pop band Lukas Graham is coming back — this time as a full band — to perform in the city live next month. The band will be playing hits like “7 Years,” “Mama Said” and “You’re Not There.”

Other than playing live for its fans in Thailand, the band says that it is especially thrilled about the food here.

I can tell you that I’m gonna bring Lovestick [the drummer] and Magnum [the bassist] on a food safari, so they can taste all of the amazing flavors Thailand has to offer!” wrote lead vocalist Lukas Forchhammer. “Besides the insects, the scorpion and durian, what should I make them eat while we’re in Bangkok?”

Lukas Graham was founded back in 2011 in Copenhagen, and in 2015, its single “7 Years” peaked at number one on the charts in Denmark, as well as in many countries across Europe. The song was also a big hit among Thais after it was sung by Mask Durian on the Mask Singer live singing show two years ago.

The concert will take place on September 28 at GMM Muang Thai Live House, a live venue at the top of CentralWorld shopping mall. Tickets range from THB1,800 to THB2,500 and they’re available via The Concert application.

After the Bangkok gig, the band will move on to Coconuts Bangkok’s sister city Jakarta on October 1.
