Cara Delevingne and Dane DeHaan, two bright stars from the big-budget sci-fi flick, “Valerian and the City of a Thousand Planets,” were totally stunned when Thai interviewer Niti “Pompam” Chaichitatorn showed up dressed as the movie’s alien stripper, portrayed by Rihanna, to interview them.
On the Sunday episode of his own TV show, “Talk Katoey” (directly translated to “Queer Talk”), celebrity host Pompam was sent by Sahamongkolfilm International, a Thai movie production giant, to France for an interview with Valerian’s director, Luc Besson, and the cast.
Known for his over-the-top personality, Pompam made sure his outfit was (actually) out-of-this-world and appropriate for a film set in space.
“Do you dress like this all the time? Because I hope you say yes”, said an amazed Delevingne.
He began the interview by giving Delevingne and DeHaan shiny, personalized Muay Thai shorts with the names of their characters from the movie screen-printed on them, which seemed to excite the actors.
So far, it’s been a good summer for Pompam. Just last month, he was picked to dance with Britney Spears onstage at her Bangkok concert.
This happy TV host is, most likely, still starstruck.
