Britney Spears may be a few years past her glory days in the West, but don’t tell that to her most ardent Thai fans, who yesterday showed a passion that suggests the pop goddess’s star hasn’t dimmed in the least.
Britney’s hardcore fans gathered yesterday at the SHOW DC shopping mall for the performance of their lives — namely, lip-syncing one of Britney’s song for a chance to attend a private meet and greet with the singer.
Ten winners were announced this morning on the Facebook page of BEC-Tero, organizer of Spears’ Bangkok shows this Friday and Saturday. Each brought back nostalgic memories of the pop princess, from the red pleather suit of her “Oops! I Did It Again” video to the sexy flight attendant uniform worn in her “Toxic” days.
The winners included Kanticha “Ticha” Chumma, winner of modeling contest The Face Thailand Season 2. Known for her humor, Ticha showed up in Britney’s “Baby One More Time” look, and really went all out in the contest.
