Canadian pop punk band Sum 41 are coming to Bangkok next month to play a Chatuchak district rock festival.

The five-member group from Ontario, which last played the capital city in 2013, will belt out singles such as Fat Lip, In Too Deep, and Still Waiting on March 31 as part of Rock Frenzy on the sixth floor at JJ Mall.

Festival organizer Be Hear Now promised more punk and emo bands will join the roster including numerous Thai pop-punk bands as well as “a powerful band from St. Louis, Missouri.”

Many fans took to the comments section to speculate that the band in question is none other than Story of the Year, which is best known for emo staples Until The Day I Die and Anthem of Our Dying Day.

One of the progenitors of noughties pop-punk, Sum 41 was best known for starting mosh pits with their catchy melodies and metal-tinged sound.

Ticket details TBA.
