Break bread at Phrom Phong’s ‘Nine Pastry’ with sourdough from the Holy Land

Located in a standalone house down Sukhumvit Soi 24 aka “the other Ari,” Nine Pastry specializes in sourdough and baked treats with a Mediterranean influence.

Pastry chef Nir Netzer spent over two years baking and experimenting in his home kitchen to come up with an extensive line of vegan sourdough bread loaves, like the classic (THB200), multiseed (THB220), and olives and herbs (THB220). The result is a natural and earthy flavor with a moist texture and crisp crust.

Netzer, who grew up in Israel, brings a Mediterranean touch. Think challah bread (THB70 to THB100), mahalabi (milk pudding with cream and red fruit, THB100), and Jerusalem bagels (THB80). Desserts and sweets run the gamut from carrot cake (THB100 per slice), chocolate mousse cake (THB250) and lemon tarts (THB250) to babka cake.

Grab sweets like the tahini cookies (THB350 for 10 pieces), chocolate fudge and sea salt cookies (THB350 for 10 pieces), and chocolate chip cookies (THB350 for 10 pieces) Other popular pastries include quiche (THB120 to THB500) and butter croissant (THB65).

Nine Pastry is located in Soi Sukhumvit 24 and can be reached from BTS Phrom Phong. It’s open 7am to 6pm every day except Monday.
