We’ve got not just one beer festival — but two — slated to run in November this year, during the early start of winter in Thailand. And when winter hits Bangkok with a rare cool breeze, there’s really nothing better than sitting outdoors, sipping at some beer.

Just don’t confuse the two festivals, as their names are quite similar: one is Thailand Beer Festival, and the other is Thailand Brew Fest.

Coming back for its second annual run at an outdoor arena in the Rama 9 area, the Thailand Beer Festival will run three days and three nights with a vast range of fresh brews. Dedicated to craft beer, the event is set to gather a pretty big crowd of beer lovers and brewmasters from across Thailand together. Apparently there will be more than 300 craft beer brands featured during the festival.

Live music will be performed by rapper Joey Boy, pop singer Earth Patravee and the frontman of rock band Pru, Krissada Sukosol Clapp.

The Thailand Beer Festival will start at 5pm each day on November 1 through November 3, and will run at the Oasis Outdoor Arena at the Show DC shopping mall near RCA. It can be reached by motorbike taxi or taxi from MRT Phetchaburi. Ticketing are THB300 and available online.

The Thailand Brew Fest is returning for its fourth edition this winter, this time under the theme “Beer to the Future.” This year, the two-day event is moving to a more spacious venue and will gather over 150 beer brands and 15 food stalls on one site. Visitors are encouraged to go wild with tasting and food pairing combinations. Local bands — alt-rockers Playground and synth pop group Polycat — will perform live on the stage.

Organized by local beer importer Smiling Mad Dog, the Thailand Brew Fest debuted in July 2017 at Quaint Bangkok. The fourth edition will run two days, on November 8 and November 9, at an outdoor setting next to Airport Rail Link Makkasan station. Early-bird tickets for one day are THB399, which includes one drink. Two-day tickets are THB599 and include three drinks.
