No matter how many people get in trouble for making bomb jokes on planes, there’s always still that one person that tries to go for the punchline that will just never land.

A woman wasn’t allowed to board a Bali flight on April 8 after she told airport security officers that she was carrying a bomb.

When asked about the contents of her bag during security screening at Bali’s Ngurah Rai Airport, Kalimantan native Titis AB, 28, stated that she had a bomb.

To no surprise at all to everyone but apparently Titis AB herself, the woman was pulled into custody for questioning and not allowed to get on the flight to Malang, East Java.

“The perpetrator claimed to have a bomb. Security personnel brought her to the security officer for questioning,” Tribun Bali quoted Bali Police spokesman Hengky Widjaja as saying.

When questioned, the woman said she had only been joking.

The woman was released after agreeing in a statement not to repeat her actions.

Just last month, a Saudi passenger was also pulled from a Lion Air flight for the same, poorly-thought-out joke.
