Kerobokan Prison guard faces drug selling allegations

A Kerobokan Prison guard has been arrested for allegedly selling drugs and is now under investigation by Denpasar Police.

Identified only by his initials, JES, 48, was caught by the Denpasar Police Narcotics Unit on December 30, 2014 for allegedly buying and selling meth at a North Kuta restaurant, reports Tribun Bali

We will wait for the results of the police investigation to take action, said Nyoman Surya Putra, from Bali’s provincial division of the Penal Law and Human Rights Ministry, on Monday, as quoted by Tribun.

In the future, unscrupulous prison staff will get harder coaching and a lot rides on the criminal sanctions by police, Putra says.
