While Bali’s Mount Agung has been busy erupting, it’s not the volcano that’s been disrupting flights from the resort island—it’s heavy rains.

Bad weather has affected just a couple of flights coming in and out of Bali on Thursday, with intense downpours hitting the island, said I Gusti Ngurah Rai Airport spokesman Arie Ahsanurrohim, as quoted by Tribun Bali

“Today the weather factor is not good for flights, but the schedule is overall normal. There were only two (outbound) lights delayed. Wings Air from Denpasar to Labuan Bajor and Lion Air to Bandung,” Ahsanurrohim said.

“And for arrivals to Ngurah Rai there may also be some delayed following late arrival of aircraft from other destinations,” he added.

So knowing Bali’s airport, we could easily see that piling up.
