Police in Bali’s Buleleng regency apprehended a high school student after he allegedly stabbed a 15-year-old boy with a knife, with the former claiming that the victim had bullied him prior to the incident.

Buleleng Police spokesman I Gede Sumarjaya said in a statement that the suspect, an 18-year-old identified by his initials DPAB, was apprehended after the stabbing took place on Monday evening.

“The stabbing done by the suspect wounded the victim’s neck, and he was immediately taken to the Buleleng Regional Hospital for treatment,” Sumarjaya said.

Initial investigation suggests that DPAB held a grudge against the victim, identified by his initials IBKP, because the latter had often mocked and bullied him.

DPAB is detained at the Seririt sub-precinct, and police said they are carrying on with an investigation into the case.
