Biznet pushing to reach 20,000 Bali subscribers by end of 2016

Indonesian internet service provider PT Supra Primatama Nusantara (Biznet) is optimistic of meeting its target of getting 20,000 Bali customers by the end of 2016. Which is pretty good news considering they’re one of the more speedy and reliable ISPs in town (and they didn’t block Netflix and Vimeo like Telkom!).

Bagus Wicaksono, Senior East Java and Bali Regional Sales Manager says that Bizent currently has more than 10,000 subscribers using its service and the company predicts a 100 percent growth rate.

“This year, we are also targeting the expansion of coverage in some housing areas of Nusa Dua and in the Gato Subroto area for the installation of internet infrastructure. Areas we will also serve include the Karangasem region,” Wicaksono said in Denpasar on Tuesday, as quoted by Bisnis.com.

He added that the company has already surveyed Gianyar, Bangli, Klungkung, and Karangasem.

“As for outside of Bail, we are still thinking of laying submarine cables. Our dream would be to be able to reach Labuan Bajo and Sulawesi,” he commented.

Currently, Biznet’s main coverage areas are in the south, like Kua, Legian, Seminyak, Canggu, Nusa Dua, Jimbaran, Sanur, and Denpasar.
