The Bali Youth Alliance (APB), a coalition of members from different Hindu youth organizations, have reportedly handed over Rp 96 million in funds they raised to help victims of natural disasters in various regions.

Among the recipients are victims of landslides in Kintamani. Crushing landslides hit Kintamani’s Songan Village nearly two weeks ago, killing 13, injuring others, and destroying homes, forcing surviving residents to evacuate.

“The total funds that have been donated to the victims of natural disasters in Bangli and Buleleng, equal Rp 96 million as of Sunday,” APB coordinator, I Wayan Suartika said, as quoted by Antara Bali.

According to Suartika, Rp 66 million of the funds was distributed to different families in Songan Village, while the remaining Rp 30 million is going to Pakisan Village and Galungan Village in Buleleng. The Buleleng villages have also been subject to landslides lately, as well as flooding.

Money wasn’t the only thing donated. As many as 300 kilograms of rice and 100 boxes of drinking water were also given to the evacuated residents of Songan Village. While in Buleleng, as many as 700 kilograms of rice and 100 boxes of drinking water were donated.
