Australian man found dead in Ubud pool

An Australian man was reportedly found dead at the bottom of the pool at the resort where he was vacationing at in Ubud. 

Police say they do not suspect any foul play in the death of Sydney man, 27-year-old Vasco Rodrigues, AAP reported. 

Rodrigues’ girlfriend, Miroslava Kubeckova, 35, told police in Bali that she went to their room after breakfast, while Rodrigues went for a swim. Around 90 minutes later, Kubeckova went out to the pool to find Rodrigues had drowned, she said. 

The Australian was was taken to a local health care clinic, where he was pronounced as dead. 

The Australian Department of Foreign Affairs and Trade (DFAT) is providing consular assistance, according to ABC Australia.
