The central processing unit, or the CPU, is the “brains” of a computer. For some, it can also apparently double in purpose as a hiding spot for drugs, as people trying to smuggle five kilograms of marijuana from Aceh to Lombok via Denpasar demonstrated this week.

The Indonesian National Narcotics Agency (BNN) Bali arrested a suspect in the ganja smuggling attempt, Heri Hermawan, 38, on Monday in West Denpasar.

BNN Bali official Ketut Artha said that the officials intercepted the drug-containing computer via a delivery service.

“From coordinating with BNN North Sumatra, we found that there was a shipment from Medan to Bali, so we conducted monitoring and found it through a delivery service,” Artha said on Tuesday, as quoted by Tribun Bali.

The package had been intended for a man named “Dedy,” but Hermawan, the suspect, is the one who came to fetch the package.

Hermawan could face lifelong imprisonment or even the death penalty for trafficking, under Indonesia’s strict anti-drug laws.

BNN says they are still investigating the case.

“We are still developing the case to uncover the marijuana network,” Artha said.
