17-year-old sexual abuse victim of police officer was allegedly given birth control pills so she wouldn’t get pregnant

The story about the teenage girl who was allegedly sexually assaulted by a Klungkung police officer for the past five years keeps getting more disturbing as developments are made public.

In order to avoid impregnating his victim, the police officer identified in reports as 55-year-old “Aiptu KA” alias JG, would allegedly give some sort of birth control pill to his now 17-year-old victim.

This was stated by the Chairwoman of the Bali Women and Children’s Care Group (KPPA), Ni Nyoman Suparni.

“Every month, a pill was given. But I do not know what the pills were. The pill was routinely administered so that the victim could not get pregnant,” Suparni revealed, as quoted by Tribun Bali

Because of the way she was treated, the victim had reoccurring suicidal thoughts, according to Suparni.

The teen girl, identified in reports as both KBW and BW recently turned in the Klungkung police officer, saying she had been consistently abused by him for the past five years that she worked as a maid for the officer and she had been intimidated by his position to speak up.

Both KPPA and the Center of Women and Children’s Empowerment Services’ (P2TP2A) say they will continue to monitor BW’s case. For obvious reasons, the case could not be solely handled by Klungkung Police. Police Internal Affairs (Propam) is additionally conducting its own investigation, Bali Police spokesman Hery Wiyanto previously said.
