KLUNGKUNG

Located to the east, Klungkung is Bali’s smallest regency. It’s best known amongst tourists for three small islands in its territory: Nusa Lembongan, Nusa Ceningan, and Nusa Penida. While Nusa Lembongan is filled with homestays and has more tourism infrastructure, its larger neighbor Nusa Penida is much quieter—though is just as lovely. Penida is home to many impressive wonders, like the natural infinity pool Angel’s Billabong. All three islands have excellent snorkeling spots and are popular with divers. The population of Klungkung is approximately just 180,000 and the regency’s seat is Semarapura.
