JEMBRANA

Jembrana is the regency that encompasses the westernmost part of Bali. Just a stone’s throw away from east Java (actually a quick, 30-minute ferry ride), Jembrana’s port town Gilimanuk is the most popular crossing point between the two islands. Being so far from the airport, you won’t find a lot of tourists making it up to Jembrana. That said, the most popular tourist destination in Jembrana is Perancak Beach, famous for its beautiful, colorful wooden fishermen’s boats docked on the coast. If you want to see a part of Bali where few foreigners actually make it, then go check out this convergence point of mountains, sea, and rice paddies for a different perspective of Bali and the Balinese way of life.
