This year, more than 100 chefs, restaurateurs, entrepreneurs, farmers, food writers, scientists, and activists will converge for the fifth edition of the Ubud Food Festival (UFF19). The UFF19 is generously seasoned with the theme “Spice Up The World”, with the objective of giving the world a taste of Indonesia and its flavorsome dishes.

The three-day program spans a range of ticketed and free events, from cooking demonstrations, special events, workshops and food tours, to markets, film screenings, live music and in-depth forum discussions. Friday-Sunday, April 26- 28 at Festival Hub @ Taman Kuliner (Jl. Raya Sanggingan, Ubud, Bali) and various locations in Ubud. Tickets start from IDR250,000-600,000 (US$16.50-40) for Indonesian citizens; IDR400,000-900,000 (US$36-59) for residents and IDR600,000-1,500,000 (US$40-99) for international visitors, available on UFF19’s website.

Rebenga Lounge & Kitchen presents Mood Swings Weekends, providing you delectable South American food, refined cocktails, and irresistible funk music. DJs will spin the melodies on both nights, in combination with Rebenga’s drink promo, swinging from 8-10pm with 2-for-1 selected cocktails, Belvedere bottles (including mixers) for IDR 1,500,000++ and a complimentary cocktail for all ladies. A smart-casual dress code is in effect, and no beach wear is permitted.

Spice by Chris Salans will host its first edition of “Brem, Arrack & Spice,” featuring celebrity bartender Imamudin Azai from Arrack & Spice bar in Jakarta and celebrity guest chef Ben Ungermann, the runner-up of Master Chef Australia 2017. Both guys will take over Spice for dinner, doing a 4-course menu with cocktail pairing.

Jazz on the Beach with Genius Cafe

Call your friends to join you this Friday for a great sundowner with live jazz music and delicious plant-based drinks. Sounds like a perfect combination to start your weekend right.

Sundown Sessions

The year-long collaboration between dance music and club culture magazine, Mixmag, and W Bali, Sundown Session will commence this Saturday with French house DJ and producer, Sébastien Léger, behind the deck. This will be the first out of three editions of the event. Each of the upcoming Sundown Sessions will be recorded live and streamed on Mixmag’s YouTube channel and Facebook page. Meanwhile, the full audio stream of the sessions will also be available on Mixmag’s official Soundcloud channel, post-event.
