Signal Asia

Signal Festival, which originally started in Russia back in 2017, is bringing their intriguing and adventurous music event to the shores of Bali this weekend – with an exciting lineup in tow. Catch SHXCXCHCXSH, Francesco Del Garda, Sofia Rodina and other cool electronic music performers as they perform in selected Canggu venues.

With Terrain of Freedom as their motto, Signal Asia encourages festival-goers to embrace freedom in expressing themselves; be it in thought, spoken word, or festival look. They’re suggesting glowing, shimmering, bright and artsy outfits for this weekend for a full musical adventure.

The festival will go on until Saturday, Jan 11 across three venues in Canggu. 1-day multipass ticket is $48.46, available for purchase here. For more information, check out their official website.

BALImagination Art Exhibition by Meus

French artist Christophe Hennequin, or “Meus,” is bringing his works from the last three months in Bali. This is Meus’ first exhibit, after beginning to draw only less than two years ago. BALImagination is said to be inspired by the energy from the Island of the Gods and the people he met along the way, and you can find out more about the artist and his artistic expression at the exhibit this week.

The exhibition runs until Monday, Jan 13 at Rumah Sanur Creative Hub. For more information, click here

Now Is A Good Time

After four months of collaboration among differently-abled artists, Now Is A Good Time will display the result of their artwork, which revolves around observations about society, family and the self. The group exhibition explores each of the artists’ varied personal relationships with physical and mental disabilities, inviting the audience to also partake in the conversation while encouraging the notion that there is no better time than the present.

Saturday, Jan 11 – Sunday, Feb 2 at Uma Seminyak. For more information, check out their Facebook event page.

Dissolve:Play – Intuitive Contact Improvisation Movement

This workshop is all about contact improvisation, an open-ended exploration of what’s possible from or within our bodies through contact. It’s a mix of the wild and athletic along with the quiet and meditative, encouraging a child-like sense of play through dance as a group activity, with Tara Li, founder of Dissolve-Intuitive contact dance journey as the facilitator.

Saturday, Jan 11 from 10am to 12pm at Paradiso Ubud. Contribution is at IDR130k for single passes, IDR500k for five transferable passes. For more information, check out their Facebook event page.
