KUTA: Kuta Beach Festival

Kuta’s going to be even more bustling than usual this weekend with the Kuta Beach Festival, which is free entry. Featuring live music from a number of local bands, a kite festival, a car show, surfing contest, as well as booths selling food and other goodies, there’s going to be a lot going on Bali’s most famous beach.

NUSA DUA: Batik Festival

In honor of the beautiful art of Indonesian batik, the Ayodya is hosting its second-annual batik-dedicated festival. Entry is free to the festival in the resort’s grand ballroom. On the second night, there’s a cocktail and gala dinner with a 14-course Rijsttafel with 14 courses for IDR1.250 nett (US$92), including free-flow beverages. On the final day, there’s a buffet dinner and fashion show; entry is IDR250k (US$18.50).

UBUD: Bali Vegan Festival

The Bali Vegan Festival is back for another year of celebrating animals, the environment, and the earth, open to vegans and the vegan-curious. While passes are required for festival events at Paradiso Ubud and Taksu, entry will be free to the “Vegan Village,” which will host yoga classes, entertainment, a vegan marketplace, and film screenings.
