SEMINYAK: Grab a cuppa and witness a barista smackdown
Catch a big barista smackdown as 16 baristas compete head-to-head to create the perfect coffee at Expat. Roasters, manual style on a v60, for cash and prizes going to the top three contenders, worth over Rp 30 million. The coffee roaster and brew bar will be serving up complimentary Beervana craft beers and bites from next-door sibling, Sisterfields.

UBUD: Dine on Balinese with an Ubud food legend
Celebrate the 25th anniversary of Ubud dining institution Casa Luna at one of Janet DeNeefe’s ‘Food as Medicine Long Table Dinners.’ Nosh on DeNeefe’s favorite Balinese food at the ever-ambient Bar Luna. Though Melbourne-borne, DeNeefe has lived in Bali for three decades and is not only a very successful restauranteur, but also the founder and director of the Ubud Food Festival and the Ubud Writers and Readers Festival.
CANGGU: Shop pre-loved goods and search for other goodies at a Canggu pop-up market
Canggu cafe staple Milk and Madu is having a pop up market and “pre-loved” items sale on Saturday, whilst hosting a disco brunch. Browse for second-hand finds and brand-new bargains while jamming out to disco—there will be a live DJ. Arts and crafts plus a playground will be there to keep kids busy.

SEMINYAK: Sip on some cocktails at a Saturday night pool party
Mrs Sippy, the hot new pool club in Seminyak—transplanted from the popular Sydney bar and restaurant—is launching Sippy Nights. Australian DJ Mister Bennetts will be laying down tracks, while there will be free flow for all house drinks, from 7-9pm. Cocktails will be Rp 100k a pop, including tax.

PADANG PADANG: Watch world-class surfing at Rip Curl’s comp
Pro surfers will be surfing their hearts out at Padang Padang Beach for the rip Curl Cup 2017. An opening ceremony kicked things off on July 10 to mark the beginning of the waiting period that falls July 10 to August 10—meaning the 16 invited surfers will be on call, to be at Padang Padang within 24 hours notice, if and when event directors green light the run. Of the 16 surfers, eight are Indonesian and eight are international. A big swell is forecasted for July 15-16, so this weekend could be a sight to behold if the contest is on.
