PADANG PADANG: Watch world-class surfing at Rip Curl’s comp
Pro surfers will be surfing their hearts out at Padang Padang Beach for the rip Curl Cup 2017. An opening ceremony kicked things off on July 10 to mark the beginning of the waiting period that falls July 10 to August 10—meaning the 16 invited surfers will be on call, to be at Padang Padang within 24 hours notice, if and when event directors green light the run. Of the 16 surfers, eight are Indonesian and eight are international. A big swell is forecasted for July 15-16, so this weekend could be a sight to behold if the contest is on.
