An e-scooter rider got so cross at seeing a man being unconcerned about causing a girl to fall off her bike that he just had to confront the man about his behavior.

The accident and the subsequent confrontation took place along Simei Road, though it’s unclear when. What was clear was that the e-scooter rider wasn’t going to let the man walk away without having a piece of his mind.

“If you know you knocked over someone or caused someone to fall down. The least you can do. The least that any mature human can do is to offer help. And not smile and just walk away,” wrote Uniquely SG on Facebook as a caption to the shared clip of the altercation.

The accident itself can roughly be seen at the eight-second mark of the video — a cyclist had been coming from behind the man, who was unaware and accidentally blocked the way of the bicycle. The cyclist swerved onto the grass patch to avoid hitting the man, and she lost control of her bike. Fortunately, she only stumbled off instead of falling down. The man, however, remained unfazed and walked off after gesturing at the cyclist.

The e-scooter rider who witnessed the whole thing was not happy. He turned back around and chased down the man to scold him about not assisting the girl. The man argued back that he was in an important business call, and that he didn’t hear the bicycle approaching him from behind. The cyclist was fine to let the matter rest, but the e-scooter rider was pretty intent in shaming the man, who in turn threatened to sue if his reputation is damaged.

Much ado about nothing, really. But in the comments section, people really went buck wild with xenophobic, racist comments.
