Friday, Nov 23

A $ingapore Carol

Wild Rice’s take on Charles Dickens’ classic, directed by Hossan Leong, sends three unexpected spirits from the past, present, and future to scare the “bah humbug” Scrooge out of a rich businessman.

A Whimsical Food Fair 

The “whimsical” food festival is back for its second edition with loads of photogenic foods like syringe desserts, colorful churros, and “3D cake pops”. Have your cameras ready, but perhaps don’t expect too much, taste-wise.

Until Nov 25; 11am-9pm at Marina Square central atrium. Free.

Arts in Your Neighbourhood

High culture comes to the heartlands, specifically the northern district of Woodlands. Free and open to public, enjoy various engaging art installations, music, dance and theatre performances with themes that draw inspiration from the history and memories of the neighborhood.

Dinner with Vinomofo

Online wine retailer Vinomofo wants you to “wine and dine like a mofo” at its three-course wine pairing dinner, where you’ll be served dishes from the grand dame of Peranakan cuisine, Violet Oon, alongside blind wine tastings.

6:30pm-10:30pm at Violet Oon Satay Bar & Grill. $75. 

PS Invaders

This indoor drone festival done up by Plaza Singapura and Science Centre Singapore features a 12m-high drone cage, drone aerial shows, a drone obstacle race, and a triathlon carnival featuring drones that can travel through air, land, and water. Workshops and hands-on activities are also available.

Skirt x Chef Refslund

Skirt teams up with innovative chef Mads Refslund, who’s known for his concept of “bonding rawness”, an idea that combines raw materials together based on their flavors, to present a two-night-only degustation menu that includes ingredients like Hamachi, shrimp, foie gras, and dry aged duck.

Until Nov 24 at Skirt, W Singapore – Sentosa Cove. $140 for food only, $235 with wine pairing. 

The Ultimate Birthday Bash

A birthday affair for DJ Killergab, this party brings out the EDM bangers, techno, house, and electro by AOS Collective for the night.

10:30pm-late at Monti. $15, includes one house pour.

Pre-ZoukOut Weekender Part 1

In preparation for December’s ZoukOut, the club brings in Swedish DJ Salvatore Ganacci to unleash his beat-heavy grooves, supported by Hong.

10pm-late at Zouk. $35 for ladies, $45 for men.

 

 

Saturday, Nov 24

Electro Ball

Sunshine Nation’s Electro Ball brings the party to Madame Fan to take you back in time to 1920s Hong Kong, with drag performances, dancers, cocktails, and mahjong. Just be sure to dress up in your best ‘20s/’30s glitz.

8:30pm-late at Madame Fan. $58.

Full Moon Sleepscape

Touted as the country’s first “full moon sleepscape”, this event features five hours of sound therapy, which is purported to help with a good night’s rest.

7pm-midnight at Ascend Yoga Therapy. $130.

Singapore Creators’ Market

E-commerce platform Shopify makes its pop-up market debut in the heart of Orchard Road, hosting 75 of the country’s leading independent designers, including Bundies, Curious Creatures, Perk By Kate and more.

11am—7pm at Grange Road Carpark

G-Fest

G-Shock’s street culture festival offers music performances, fashion showcases, workshops, art installations, food vendors, and more at Scape over the weekend.

Pinot Palooza

The Australian pinot noir festival returns to our shores for its second edition with more than 40 wineries, including noteworthy names like Moondarra, Vinteloper, and Mt Difficulty. There’ll also be bites by Meatsmith and beats by guest DJs.

Until Nov 25; 1pm-6pm at TheatreWorks. $60, includes a complimentary wine glass and all wine tastings.

TBL Block Party

Atas furniture and design haven Tan Boon Liat Building opens its doors for the weekend with exhibitions, installations, Christmas bundles, pop-ups, talks, workshops, and more across 37 showrooms.

Until Nov 25; Sat 10am-6pm, Sun 10am-6pm at Tan Boon Liat Building. Free.

The Guinness Great Grill Out

Chill out with BBQ, music, and beer this weekend, with plenty of roasted and smoked meats by the likes of Decker Barbecue, Artichoke, Sidecar Sausages, Red Eye Smokehouse, and Camp Kil Charcoal Club. There’ll also be a pop-up Guinness restaurant, free masterclasses, and plenty of local acts to provide the beats.

Sunday, Nov 25

PS.Cafe Sunday Wine Down: France

From Bordeaux to Burgundy, Provence to Pays, this wine down series brings in vino from France for you to sample.

4pm-6pm at PS.Cafe at Martin Rd. Free entry.
