Animal lovers yesterday hosted a proper and dignified funeral for a dead bunny found dumped in a bag at a Yishun housing block.
Members of the Yishun Cat Patrol said a cleaner initially mistook the rabbit for a cat when it was found wrapped in newspaper inside a paper bag on the ground floor of a housing block at Yishun on Monday.
“The cleaner thought it was a cat and Pet Cremation services upon reaching their premises … found it was a poor little bunny which was literally thrown away, DISCARDED,” the group wrote online. They are known for being guardians of Yishun’s cats.
Photos shared by the cat lovers showed the bunny surrounded by flower petals before being sent for cremation.

“Thank you for giving the poor bunny a dignified send off. May the poor bunny rest in peace it’s sad how his owner treated him like trash,” Adelyn Tan said.
