Science Centre Singapore will gradually resume operations from tomorrow starting with two of its four attractions.
Just in time for the week-long school holiday, the science museum will reopen its KidsStop indoor playground and indoor Snow City through July 26. After that, the playground will open three days a week from July 31 and Snow City will open five days a week from July 29.
“It has been a quiet few months and we have missed the looks of wonder and sounds of laughter from guests discovering the world of science. We would like to thank all guests for their patience and support through these challenging times,” it said yesterday in a statement.
Singaporean students’ midterm break runs Monday through July 26.
Due to the pandemic, the center has vowed to implement safety measures such as safe distancing, temperature taking, contact tracing, mandatory mask wearing, and daily disinfection of the property while visitors are there.
“During this time, the Centre is committed to prioritising the safety and wellbeing of all guests, staff and volunteers, and has implemented site-wide precautionary measures in line with government guidelines,” it added.
Science Centre Singapore together with other museums and libraries have been closed since April as part of measures to slow the spread of COVID-19. The city-state reported 249 new cases yesterday, pushing its total since January to nearly 47,000.
