The Ramen Rater ranks Prima Taste’s Wholegrain Laksa Lamian as top instant noodle of all time

Even in the realm of instant meals, Singapore triumphs. According to ramen connoisseur and YouTube personality The Ramen Rater, our very own wholegrain la mian laksa by Prima Taste is top dog in his 2016 edition of the best instant noodles of all time.

Already a favourite of his from before, Prima Taste managed to exceed his expectations with new wholegrain varieties of their instant noodles, including their popular laksa pack. In The Ramen Rater’s original review, he praised the meal for having “a kind of rustic and artisan kind of heartiness to them”, and even considers it as one of his desert island dishes.

Runners-up include sichuan pepper noodles from Taiwan, tomato beef brisket noodles from China and a couple of varieties from Malaysia. Another Prima Taste noodle made it to the list — their curry wholegrain la mian. Suprisingly, no picks from Korea, Japan or even Indonesia (because Indomie).

Unfortunately, we may not have tried Prima Taste’s instant laksa ourselves to vouch for it, but we’re sure it’s pretty premium. After all, if we’ve got laksa cravings, we just have to head to the nearest coffee shop and get a bowl for about $3. It probably tastes a lot more heartier than instant noodles, too.
