Spanish Twitter users have joined a photo campaign #Freeyuyee, calling on Thailand to release a former Thai model and wife of a Spanish wildlife documentary host recently sentenced to 15 years in prison.
The photo campaign came after petitions on Change.org collected a quarter million signatures, mostly from Spanish netizens, who question the justice in sending Chatchaya “Yuyee” Cuesta Ramos to prison for 15 years in prison for carrying 250 milligrams of cocaine through Don Mueang Airport.
Yuyee is known in Spain as the wife of Frank Cuesta, a TV host who has reportedly spent many years working for the protection of wild animals.
